New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Shattered Kennys Official Website) 14 year old Sara and 15 year old Jacob had an idea. She was the lead singer from the Arizona rock band "The Kennys". Her friend, Jacob was the bass player from another local band, "Shattered Punk". Their idea: combine their rock and punk/ska styles to create a powerful new alt/punk band.
They pulled on board Josh, the drummer from The Kenny". They asked Jay, the drummer from Shattered Punk to join them, but to stop drumming and use his creative guitar skills for the first time in public, in this new band, to complete the lineup. The combined members of Shattered Punk and The Kennys became the
Shattered Kennys, and some say it's become an "unstoppable force".
In May, as part of a 5 show tour in the Valley of the Sun, Shattered Kennys won a battle of the bands competition, they have signed with the new Galaxy MGMT artist management company in Phoenix, and will be re-recording their single "Bingo at 8" at TallCat Studios in Mesa, AZ this summer.

Kennys edged it out for me by engaging the crowd with a fun little set that included punk covers of "
We Are Young" by Fun., Adam Sandler's The Wedding Singer song, "Somebody Kill Me," and funny enough, Dexys Midnight Runners "Come on Eileen"
