New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Poweys Official Website) Melodic would be a good word to describe this new alternative rock album. Each song is thematic and simple, but also passionate and heartfelt enough to make it something worth listening to over and over. Similar to old Weezer, Poweys has a nice balance between punkish sentiments and poppy, catchy tunes.
"When I go to bed at night, this is the type of music I listen to.....this is my favorite type of music in the whole world" says Greg Schulte, lead singer. "All of our songs are written with the intent that you can sing your heart out along to them, and I think we've done that successfully with this album"
Along with strong vocal melodies, the album is filled with well-thought-out drumming and interesting, often contrapuntal guitar and bass work.
