New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Big Eye Records) Drawing from the wealth of inspirational singer-songwriters from the 1960s and 70s, Griffin produced four distinct songs that walk the Americana/Pop line. Recorded at George Noriega's (Robi " Draco" Rosa, Timbaland, Gloria Estefan) Cutting Cane Studios in Miami, Florida, and 251 Studio in Nashville, Tennessee, The Canyon elevates Griffin's catalog to a higher level of songwriting, simultaneously demonstrating sophistication and simplicity. The result is substantial: each instrument finds it's voice, whether it be the syrupy wail of the pedal steel or the anchored pocket of the electric bass.
The final tracks were mixed by Josep Serrano at Cutting Cane Studios and mastered by Mike Fuller of FullerSound, Inc. (James Brown, Rod Steward, Kenny Loggins). Griffin tackles vocals, acoustic guitar, keys and percussion and is joined by Johnny Shortridge (electric guitar), Brian Lang (drums), Adam Oldendorff (pedal steel/lap steel) and Kyle Stallons and Dave Cohen (additional keys). Returning from the Live @ 305 recording is Brian Tate (bass).
