Charlottesville, Va. (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) Obama for
America announced that it will be holding an ent featuring Bruce Springsteen, local elected officials and volunteers on Tuesday, October 23. As part of the Obama campaign's effort to turn out voters across the commonwealth, Springsteen will give a special appearance at the nTelos Wireless Pavilion in Charlottesville. Free tickets will be available at OFA offices in the Charlottesville area beginning at 1:00 PM on October 21.
As the election approaches, OFA-Virginia volunteers are reaching out to their friends and neighbors, discussing what's at stake in this election, and making sure that all Virginians are able to make their voices heard.
"I'm here today because for thirty years I've been writing about the distance between the American dream and the American reality," said Springsteen during a recent appearance in Iowa. "I'm here because our vote is one of the principle ways we get to determine that equation, we get to close that distance. Voting matters, elections matter."
The Charlottesville event with
Bruce Springsteen is free and open to the public. Tickets are required and will be available to the public on a first-come, first-served basis at the offices listed below.
