Southern Californian Singer Songwriter Kimly Releases Flagship Single "Make My Heart"
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Kimly, a Vietnamese American singer songwriter from Southern California, has released her premier single, "Make My Heart." The single is a pop style, lighthearted romance tune in the tradition of performers such as Jason Mraz, Michelle Branch, or Jewel, and features Kimly's impeccably clarion voice, remarkably intuitive acoustic guitar playing, and entirely natural skill as a writer of pop music. She has also released an accompanying music video for "Make My Heart," viewable online, that serves as a fine introduction to listeners uninitiated with her music (video directed and produced by Patrick V.; Cinematographer, Alex Stathis; Executive Producer, Georlyn Igma; and co-starring Eric Kuntz).

"I've tried my hand at writing music since I was a baby," writes the young musician. "My mom remembered me singing my own tune, over and over again, before I was even able to talk. I didn't realize I could use that gift to have a voice in this world until I was 17 or 18."

Kimly has since found that voice, and what a voice it is. Well loved chanteuses such as Natalie Imbruglia or Dolores O'Riordan (The Cranberries) sing with no more crystalline or beautifully pitched a voice, and So. Cal.'s Kimly has only just begun her career. This voice is not only informed and influenced by western performers, but also by Viet Nam's endlessly exploding musical culture. She names as important influences the modern legends, Pham Duy and Trinh Cong Son.

Kimly's single, "Make My Heart," comes also with her message to the world. She writes, "Love and hope are powerful tools to make a difference in our lifetime, whether it be a small or large step. Everything starts from a thought and an action. If you love someone, show it. If you are loved, the hope is that you would feel it. Love is infinite. It should be emanating from our souls. We should use that for unselfish reasons, and shamelessly, too. That's what this song is about."

Kimly's "Make My Heart" is available online everywhere. Her full length LP is due for release in 2013.

The single "Make My Heart" is distributed globally by MondoTunes (www.MondoTunes.com) and is available at iTunes or www.top40-charts.com for convenient purchase and download
