
NEW YORK (Boom Online) - This Thursday, August 5th, three of the finalists from the recognized Benidorm International Song Festival celebrated in Spain, will reunite in their city of residence to delight their local public with a live concert. Pepe Alva, Elsten Towers "Fulano" and Vic Pichardo will come together at I/O Lounge located at 30 NW 14th Street in Downtown Miami at 8:00 PM.
Pepe Alva is known for being the initiator of the rock en español singer movement in the City of Miami. Combining cultures, his two productions are the fusion of Andean folkloric rhythms with pop/rock. During his musical career he has been named: Best Band and Best Rock Vocalist, for several consecutive years, by the prestigious weekly newspaper "The Miami New Times." His most recent recognition took place this year when he was named a finalist at the Benidorm International Song Festival, having the opportunity to compete with recognized musicians, not only from Latin America but also from Europe.
Elsten Torres, better known as Fulano, born in Cuban and raised in New York, resides now in Miami and is recognized as one of the most talented composers of this city. He has managed to captivate the public with lyrics that take a very personal seal. "Los Demas", "Caramelo", "Cristina Maria", "No soy Gringo", are some of his greatest hits. Fulano's talent has been recognized by artists like Alejandra Guzmán, Julio Iglesias Jr. and JD Natasha, recording his compositions.
Vic Pichardo, a Dominican musician with strong influences of British rock from the Beatles and bands like The Verve, Coldplay and also the American rock of Tom Petty, Wilco and Counting Crows. In 1998 Vic moves to Florida and begins to compose more personal songs, recording them as a soloist.
