Laguna Beach, CA (Top40 Charts/ Great Scott P.R.oductions) March will prove to be a monumental month of music, mermaids, fantasy, romance, and celebration for iconoclastic composer-producer and multi-instrumentalist
David Arkenstone. The 3-time Grammy nominee released his latest musical adventure, "Lovéren," yesterday (March 5) on the MRI/Sony RED-distributed QDV Recordings in conjunction with his 25th anniversary as a pioneering recording artist who has conceived sprawling soundscapes for imaginary worlds on virtually every frontier. Based upon an original mermaid love story that he commissioned, Arkenstone wrote and produced the already critically-lauded "Lovéren" with divinely-voiced vocalist
Charlee Brooks. Produced by award-winning filmmaker
Victoria Paige Meyerink,
David Arkenstone's
Symphonic Adventure will premiere March 16th as an astonishing multimedia concert event at the Alex Theatre in Glendale, CA that will be filmed for television broadcast and DVD release.
Having created visionary award-winning musical escapades, including 20 albums that hit the Billboard chart, motion picture and television scores, and music for best-selling video game "World of Warcraft," Arkenstone dives deeply into previously uncharted waters to reinvent himself yet again on "Lovéren," which he describes as an album "that I consider to be one of my best in many ways." Against richly-textured backdrops of lush neo-classical and audacious world music sonicscapes meticulously painted by the master musical illustrator, Brooks sings primarily in an aquatic language that she created for the recording called Mermish, a dialect she defines as universal because it is based upon emotion.
"Lovéren" will be performed live in its entirety at
David Arkenstone's
Symphonic Adventure by Arkenstone and Brooks along with a full orchestra, choir, the extraordinary Cirque de la Symphonie acrobats, Celtic dancers, elaborate costumes, digital stagecraft, intricate lighting design and breathtaking special effects. After "Lovéren" is presented, a career retrospective culled from Arkenstone's revolutionary catalogue will be performed by the accomplished instrumentalists, singers and percussionists, including spotlight soloists
Karen Briggs (dazzling violinist), Eric Rigler (piper featured in "
Titanic" and "
Braveheart") and John Serrie (keyboard marvel).
