Brooklyn's Risa Binder Scores Daytime Emmy Nom For Outstanding Original Song

New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) When Risa Binder's friend fell in love with her math tutor - and then married him - the Brooklyn-based singer couldn't resist writing a song about it. Now that tune, "Just Like That," has earned Binder a nomination for a 2013 Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Original Song in a Drama Series. "Just Like That," from Binder's debut album 'Paper Heart' (Warehouse Records), was performed on General Hospital in July 2012 by Starr Manning (Kristen Alderson). Watch the performance:



Recorded in Nashville with producer Marshall Altman (Natasha Bedingfield, Ingrid Michaelson), 'Paper Heart' caught the attention of Entertainment Tonight, The Wall Street Journal, Billboard and M Magazine, who recommended the "expertly crafted" album for fans of Colbie Caillat and Taylor Swift.
