Black Valentine Releases New Single 'Sweetest Sin'
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The singer-songwriter known as Black Valentine has released his newest single, titled, "Sweetest Sin," to sweeping critical and fan acclaim. The single is an instant R 'n' B classic with a hip-hop edge and elements of contemporary soul. It is the most significant and striking release from Black Valentine since his album, "Tougher." A gorgeous, crooning ballad of modern urban poetry, "Sweetest Sin" is poised to become the world's best loved serenade in years.

Black Valentine, originally from Rockford, IL, found early success with his first release, "Tougher." "Tougher," which record was produced by Jay Opposition, was featured as the commercial music for a popular fall streetwear fashion line, and acted as a springboard for his later material, which would lead to "Sweetest Sin." He has performed at the world-famous Whisky a' Go-Go on Los Angeles' Sunset Strip to widespread praise. "Sweetest Sin" is currently in rotation on Party 105.2 FM, The Mix 92.9 FM, and Pure Sounds Radio.

He names as main artistic influences an unlikely mix of legends, such as Prince, Wham!, Madonna, Jimi Hendrix, Jodeci, Janis Joplin, Usher, and Michael Jackson.

Speaking of his musical history, Black Valentine writes candidly, "I grew up around music. My mom used to play Toni Braxton to get me to go to sleep at night. My dad worked at a record store, and I would go to work with him. I would listen to music all day. I decided early on that I was going to be a star, and would go to performing arts camps, do talent shows, and be in dance groups. It was fun! I started taking it seriously a year ago."

When asked about the themes of this latest single, "Sweetest Sin," Black Valentine replies with empathy and compassion.

"Listen, ladies," he says, "I want you to fall in love. I want you to also love yourself. But I want you to not be afraid to fall in love again because you got your heart broken before. You have to keep on going and you'll find the one you're looking for."

"Sweetest Sin" by Black Valentine is available online everywhere beginning spring 2013.

The single "Sweetest Sin" is distributed globally by MondoTunes (www.MondoTunes.com) and is available at iTunes or www.top40-charts.com for convenient purchase and download.
