LOS ANGELES (www.sapublicity.com) - Jeffrey Cain, Cedric LeMoyne and Gregory Slay, former members of the seminal rock band Remy Zero, have been nominated for 'Outstanding Main Title Theme Music' for 'A Perfect Lie,' the theme for the highly-rated FX series Nip/Tuck, for The 56th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards. The ceremony will be held on Sunday, September 12, 2004 from the Los Angeles Shrine Auditorium.

'It's wonderful to be recognized for something you have given your whole life to, and it certainly gives you a surge of energy to channel back into your work,' beamed Cain. 'An Emmy nomination was something that truly never entered our minds. We make music every day and every night when no one's listening.'

The trio, under the moniker The Engine Room, wrote and performed 'A Perfect Lie,' the first theme for which they were commissioned. 'The Engine Room is an outlet for us to create new sonic landscapes,' explained Cain. 'It's an opportunity for us to work with creative people in film and television who want pure original music that is tied to the heart of their creation.'

Kicking off their company with an Emmy nomination, The Engine Room is the next step for Cain, LeMoyne and Slay who have had a very healthy three-album career with Remy Zero, which disbanded earlier this year. Songs of Remy Zero have been placed in many films over the past few years, including Zach Braff's recent hit independent film Garden State, as well as Suicide Kings, Just Married, Stigmata, Crazy Beautiful, She's All That, and Never Been Kissed, among others. In addition, their track 'Save Me' is the theme song to WB Network's No 1 rated show 'Smallville.'

Among the other television shows nominated in the same category as The Engine Room's Nip/Tuck theme are HBO's Deadwood, USA's Monk, Discover Channel's Monster House, and CBS's Two and a Half Men.
'A Perfect Lie' appears on the recently released soundtrack to Nip/Tuck on Nettwerk Records, along with a remix of the track by Gabriel and Dresden.

Guitarist Jeffrey Cain recently formed Isidore, a band with Steve Kilbey of seminal alt-guitar band The Church and will be releasing their self-titled debut October 12, 2004 on Brash Music.
