Cleveland, OH (Top40 Charts/ Crushtone Music) Hard rock artist Gavin The Third has released the first official music video from his debut self-titled EP. The song is called Cut Through and it features a light and day dynamic that plays well off the intensity of the song.
The track's blaring and infectious guitar riffs, coupled with Gavin's soaring vocal presence really captures the essence of the band's style and is a great representation of the rest of the record. The song and EP was engineered and produced by platinum producer Jim Wirt (Incubus, Fiona Apple, Alien Ant Farm) in his Cleveland, OH recording space Crushtone Studios.
"Cut Through is the first Gavin the Third song I had a music video produced for," says vocalist/guitarist Gavin Cushman. "Given that this may be the first time that many listeners hear our music, I decided that a cleanly shot, performance driven approach would work best. This serves to emulate the feeling of our live shows and capture the energy we bring on stage."
Cut Through was shot by Barton Photography and Brickhouse Productions
About Gavin The Third:
Gavin the Third is a rock band from Cleveland, Ohio. The music revolves around the lead vocalist/guitarist Gavin Cushman III who is also the primary songwriter of the group. Gavin writes songs that combine introspective compositions of personal struggle with hard hitting Alt/Rock, tapping directly into the vein of Deftones, Nine Inch Nails, and Queens of the Stone Age. The band is rounded out with Drummer
Brett Weir, Gavin's older brother Andrew Cushman on Guitar, and bassist Josh King. Gavin's demos, which he wrote and recorded in his apartment, drew the attention of producer Jim Wirt (Incubus, Fiona Apple, Alien Ant Farm, and others) who pushed for Gavin to make his debut record with a big studio sound. In 2013, Gavin the Third entered Crushtone Studios in Cleveland with Wirt to record that self-titled EP. The CD was recently released on Crushtone
Music Inc. and features five powerful songs that come across even better live.
