New York, NY (Top40 Charts) As January turns into February, the 2014 concert season is beginning to pick up. Various tours from artists such as George Strait and One Direction are scheduled to begin within the next six months.

The season starts at full throttle on February 1, when Elton John begins his 2014 North American tour, during which the famous piano player is scheduled to visit the Midwest and Southwest United States. Sir Elton will also resume his Million Dollar Piano residency at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas at the end of March.

John isn't the only piano player to perform this year. His frequent touring partner Billy Joel begins a run on February 9, performing concerts in a dozen cities between February and August. Joel will also have monthly shows at Madison Square Garden in New York City, the first of which is on February 3.

Other artists with tours starting in the first half of the month include Kings of Leon, Imagine Dragons, Sting & Paul Simon, and Demi Lovato.

The second half of the month consists mainly of new and continuing tours from R&B and hip hop artists. First up is Kanye West , who starts the next leg of his "Yeezus" tour on February 13, followed closely by singer-songwriter John Legend , who begins his "All Of Me" tour on February 15.
