Black Light White Light Releases New Single "High Like A Hurricane"
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ The Playground) Originally forming back in 2009, psychedelic resurgence group, Black Light White Light return with new single "High Like a Hurricane" along with B-Side "Sex And Fury" which will be released on the 16th June 2014 along with the prospect of another album. US producer Chris "Frenchie" Smith (Jet, The Dandy Warhols) flew in from Austin, TX to live and work with the band on the single and upcoming album whilst additional production support comes from from none other than Emily Lazar (Foo Fighters, David Bowie, Vampire Weekend, The Raveonettes, Morrissey) along with a significant guest appearance by Grammy Award wining string arranger Davide Rossi (Coldplay, Goldfrapp) - on the track And The Devil. Following the release of their debut album "Infrared Daylight" in September 2011 on their very own Record Records imprint, the trio are sure to make heads turn with their their latest release.

"Black Light White Light have an inherent likeability about them… Undoubtedly promising" - Drowned in Sound

"They're like a three-piece rock time-machine!" - The Soundsupply

"An act to keep an ear out for" - NXNE Music Festival

Previously working closely with producer Rick Parker, (Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, The Dandy Warhols, Von Bondies) the group's notoriety has seen them tour Northern Europe and Italy and even perform at international large scale music events including NXNE Music Festival. Beyond this they have toured the UK twice and the US extensively, covering North Carolina to California. Through their travels they have shared the bill with some big international names including Crocodiles (US), Crystal Antlers (US) and The Soundtrack Of Our Lives (S). If this wasn't already enough for a band who have impressed coming straight off the starting blocks, they toured as a backing band for fellow psycha-rock The Telescopes (UK).

Their sound proved effective after their first outing and played an important part in the resurgence of psychedelic rock. Drawing their inspiration from 60s bohemian psychedelic indie rock, the group managed to cling on to their roots. Even deeper still, we find another layer of dreamy pop melodies and soundscapes, promoting a more thought-provoking experience; reminiscent of classic psychedelic rock acts like The Byrds, Jefferson Airplane and The Seeds. With that in mind we can't overlook the fact that parallels can also be drawn from the more British / Manchester leaning sounds, with noticeable comparisons to Ian Brown of the Stone Roses. most notably in lead singer, Martin's emotive vocals.

The forthcoming album will revisit the band's love for classic rock temperaments with a heavier focus on the more experimental psychedelia and rich melody. Ahead of the album release the band are set to play in London for the first time since 2012 and will be giving away a promotional EP "Manoeuvres" featuring tracks taken directly from the forthcoming full length.
