Fort Lauderdale, FL (Top40 Charts/ EMI Music) - The alternative rock scene has a new power band in its roster thanks to a deal that's been struck with EMI
Music Publishing and
Stellar Songs. The members of
Ghost of
Gloria have earned a high coveted publishing contract with the music industry giant. The news came fresh after a heavy touring schedule of electrifying performances and addictive original material.
Ghost of Gloria has rapidly risen to fame since they formed three years ago. Members including John D'Angelo lead singer and guitarist, Mark Caldwell bass guitarist, Jeff Cunningham guitarist and Mark Poiesz on drums, were individually signed and will co-produce songs at EMI's New York studios with the production/songwriting team Espionage starting in June 2010.
Ghost of Gloria has swept the rock nation performing over 200 shows in the last year and embarking on two eastern U.S. tours. The band won the Hard Rock Caf�'s 2009 "Ambassadors of Rock Battle of the Bands" (in South Florida) and earned 2nd place in the national contest beating out thousands of bands.
They've been selected as the "Top 25 Bands to Watch" by Tunelab.com, were exclusively featured on the Front Page of Myxer.com, performed live on television, featured in magazines including recognition as the "Most Renowned Band in the Region," won the debut contest of PickTheBand.com garnering the highest amount of online votes, and showcased on countless new music websites including Indie top 10 Music.
Including working with multi-platinum producer, Don Gilmore (Linkin Park, Avril Lavigne and Good Charlotte), Ghost of Gloria has produced a number of hits and their first professional video for "Fight." Their music can be heard on the airwaves, and is available in stores and online retailers.
Single, "Fight," was picked up by Clear Channel's digital FM station "New and Undiscovered" for full rotation. "Fight" was also picked up on ReewineMusic.com's Alternative station which currently only features 3 unsigned artists.
Released debut EP called "Voices from the Red Room" to iTunes, CDbaby, and hundreds of other online retailers.
Frequently performs live on 103.1 WPBZ and is regularly played on the station and at numerous station sponsored events.
Chosen as the first band to be featured in 93.1 WHDR "South Flocal Soundcheck" section on 93rock.com in April 2009.

Industry executives of EMI Music Publishing, Stellar Songs and Espionage will be joined by Ghost of Gloria management, media and friends at the Hard Rock Caf� hosted private party on June 1, 2010 in Hollywood, Florida.
