Amy Gore And Her Valentines To Headline Arts, Beats And Eats Budweiser Rock Stage

Amy Gore And Her Valentines To Headline Arts, Beats And Eats Budweiser Rock Stage
NEW YORK (Top40 Charts/ Arts, Beats and Eats Official Website) Amy Gore, formerly of famed Detroit rock outfits Gore Gore Girls and Gorvette, showcases her new all-star band on Sunday, September 4 at Arts, Beats and Eats. Amy Gore and Her Valentines will perform on the Budweiser Rock Stage at 8 p.m. In addition to formidable front woman Amy Gore (who has toured nationally with music legends Blondie and The Cramps), the band features a who's who of Detroit rock royalty including Jackson Smith on guitar (punk-rock icon Patti Smith's son and member of her Patti Smith Group), former Von Bondie's bassist Leann Banks, and Joe Leone (Fletcher Pratt, Grayling) on drums.

Although debuting as Amy Gore and The Squires at the 2011 Metro Times Blow Out as a one off, the energy and personnel of the band was a palatable match. The group decided to continue - but after a particularly prolific week of songwriting over Valentines' Day, the Squires metaphorically laid down their swords and 'Her Valentines' were born.

The super group is a departure from Gore's punk rock roots. Amy Gore and Her Valentines mine alternative country terrain while still showcasing a pop sensibility with nods to The Supremes and early Motown. It's power pop Americana with an edge.

Amy Gore and Her Valentines are currently recording with Kid Rock engineer Al Sutton at his acclaimed Rustbelt Studios, and are in early negotiations with several labels over the band's forthcoming release. Also on the books is a video shoot for their first single 'So Lost Now' with Brittin Richter, producer and director of the latest esQuire video, "Enjoy Yourself.'

Don't miss what's sure to be one of the most exciting performances of the festival!
