Great American Taxi Headlining Next River Run Rocks! Concert Series And Saturdays At The Station At Keystone Resort On July 21, 2012
Keystone, Colorado (Top40 Charts/ SummitCove Vacation Lodging) Summer is in full swing and along with the season comes great live music and concerts. The weekend of July 21 & 22 at Keystone Resort is booked solid with live music, bike races, both 5 & 10K races, and a half marathon in addition to it's usual summer activities such as golfing, biking, whitewater rafting, and gondola rides. Keystone is a great escape from the hot summer heat with temperatures averaging around 70 degrees in July.

Saturday, July 21st is the day to see one of the best bands around in the Americana music scene, Great American Taxi. The band hails from Nederland, Colorado and will be performing two live shows at Keystone Resort. The first performance at River Run Rocks! will be held in the River Run Events Plaza and admission is free. Take advantage of the warm sunshine, cool temperatures and fresh mountain air while you soak up the sounds of the band at the base of Dercum Mountain.

The band's second performance takes place at Warren Station in River Run Village, for an evening show at the 'Saturdays at the Station' concert series. Tickets are just $8 in advance and $10 at the door. Doors open at 8:30 pm and the show is slated to start at 9 pm.

Great American Taxi features front man Vince Herman of Leftover Salmon and people will recognize threads of the Leftover Salmon fabric all the while being driven by original songwriting and musicianship. The band hit the Top 10 on the American Radio Charts with their 2010 CD release Reckless Habits and have strong rotation on various Sirius Satellite Radio Stations. In September of 2011, the band released their new studio recording, Paradise Lost, recorded in Nashville, TN and produced by Todd Snider (who also performs on the CD). The band also enlisted master folk musicians Tim O'Brien, Barry Sless, and Elizabeth Cook to tackle songs about working class, blue-collar issues while maintaining Taxi's signature upbeat, country, bluegrass, rock-infused, Americana-without-borders feel. Great American Taxi traffics their collective past helping create their new Americana without borders brand of music. Biography credited from jambase.com.
