Introducing SXSW Showcasing Artist Lovely Quinces
Split, Croatia (Top40 Charts/ Green Light Go) Originating from the small country of Croatia, Dunja Ercegovic, who performs under the moniker Lovely Quinces, refuses to remain concealed from the rest of the world where music comes alive to her.

With just a year under her belt and a five-track EP, the young singer-songwriter, who blends quirky acoustic-folk with slow, purposeful and driving blues, is making waves landing with a number-one record of the year in Croatia.

The No Room For Us EP, a telltale sign of the albums main theme, paints broad strokes of love and the hardships that sometimes follow. "Love is my number one topic," explains Ercegovic. "My songs are mostly about relationships between men and women because that is what I know best, that is what I experience all the time."

With songs referencing emotional baggage, cheaters and heartbreak it comes as no surprise that Fiona Apple, PJ Harvey and Cat Power influenced Ercegovic on No Room For Us. "I love strong women who play their instruments with balls of steel and sing passionately."

The looming tone of each hoarse strum of the acoustic guitar on "Wrong House" mirrors the fear of discovering a cheating partner, while struggling with the agony of losing yourself in jealousy. And closing track "Mr Lonely Boy" takes on a more mocking tone of the boy who plays hard to get. With a jaunt in her step, Ercegovic isn't fooled by this act.

Ercegovic's real strength and power comes out on stage. Strong, confident, vulnerable, scared, loud, quiet, funny - all at the same time - Lovely Quinces opens her heart to the audience and communicates her feelings and state of mind on each of her songs.

Lovely Quinces is ready to take on the world with appearances in Austin for SXSW as well as a stint at Canadian Music Week this May.
