Mushroomhead To Rock Rockapalooza 2011, June 25
Jackson, MI (Top40 Charts/ Kings of Rock Entertainment) Mushroomhead, an industrial metal band from Cleveland, Ohio. will set the stage ablaze at the Jackson County Race Track , Jackson County Fair Grounds, Jackson, Michigan, Saturday, June 25, when they play Rockapalooza 2011 (#4).

Says promoter Tim Corser, CEO of Kings of Rock Entertainment, "(I am) Very excited for Mushroomhead. I'd say they have been the 2nd most requested band that people ask me to bring to Jackson."

Blending sonics and attitude borrowed from metal, techno/industrial and rap, with the limits of Rock theater, Mushroomhead will create a show the Jackson, Michigan area will talk about for decades.

About Mushroomhead
In the Spring of 1993, a group of musicians from Cleveland, OH came together to form a side project called Mushroomhead. The intention was to create an eclectic blend of extreme music combined with a vaudevillian stage show that was bound to provoke a reaction, turn some heads and leave an impression. It was to become undisputedly, Cleveland's top drawing band.
Blending sonics and attitude borrowed from metal, techno/industrial and rap, they managed to attract a varied and demographically diverse crowd with their thundering tribal drums digging a heavy groove, with big, snarling guitars and keyboards filling in all the cracks with dramatic swells of sound. Taking a cacophony of music, vocals and samples, Mushroomhead shapes it into memorable tunes that are at once sharply satirical, broadly tongue in cheek, and infinitely different.

Described by the Cleveland Plain Dealer as "sophisticated, juxtaposing dense, staccato, Ministry-inspired tempos with spacious melodic passages and dark lyrics that don't merely rely on repeated swear words," their music stands on its own, but to fully appreciate Mushroomhead, they have to be experienced live. Pushing the limits of rock theater to the max - their live show is truly an event and a multi-sensoral experience.

No doubt, Mushroomhead didn't become Ohio's biggest draw by worrying about offending anyone.

About Rockapalooza 2011
Rockapalooza started in 2008 with 17 bands playing on Mechanic Street in conjunction with one of The Crazy Cowboy's race week street parties. Since Corser has developed it into a dynamite event that has taken over most of the fairgrounds.

Last year 30 bands took to three stages over the event. This included headliners Sevendust, Otep and Egypt Central, with Bury Tomorrow, coming in from Southampton/Portsmouth, England. This year Chiodos, Silverstein, Sleeping with Sirens, Mushroomhead, Sore Eyes, Violets for Verona, State Your Cause, Shallow Side, Killjay, As Summer Dies, Hollow Drive, Lifeline, Oh No Fiasco, and Despite the Risk, with others to be announced will take the stage.

As Corser enjoys homes in both Spring Arbor, Michigan and Nashville, Tennessee, it should not come as any surprise to find that this lineup will include bands from Michigan to southern Florida, and points in between. "With so many bands booked, there's enough variety that anyone who likes rock music should find something they like," Corser said.

Comedian Pauly "The Weasel" Shore will emcee the show. Immediately recognized for his MTV VJ fame, he appeared in the movies, Encino Man, Son in Law, In the Army Now, Jury Duty and Bio-Dome. He will also do a pre-show the night before Rockapalooza. Tickets NOW available at CK Barrymore in downtown Jackson next to the Michigan Theatre. VIP Tix are still available for only $20 and General Admission are only $10. Also purchase your tickets online at etix.com. Don't miss out.
