Music Tastes Good Returning To Southern California September 30-Oct 1, 2017
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Music Tastes Good, the ambitious, first-year music and food festival that took the west coast by surprise last September, will make its triumphant return to Long Beach, CA this fall (Sept. 30-Oct. 1).

A FREE day-long event, featuring a stellar lineup of music, along with free beer and food (while supplies last) by Outlaw Cook, Music Tastes Good's SXSW Party will serve as a teaser to what is shaping up to be another epic event on the shores of SoCal this fall.

LINEUP TO BE ANNOUNCED MAY 5TH

With its inaugural run, Music Tastes Good hosted an eclectic weekend-long party of music and food that featured the likes of The Specials, Dr. Dog, Rival Sons, Iron and Wine, Squeeze, De La Soul, Sylvan Esso, Warpaint, POS, Living Colour and many more.

The festival will carry on in 2017, despite the tragic and untimely loss of its founder and chief curator, artist/musician Josh Fischel, who passed away on September 29, 2016, after a battle with liver disease. His close friends, family, and his team at Music Tastes Good have banded together to execute his vision for the future of the festival.

Music Tastes Good 2017 promises to deliver another insane lineup of music, with an even greater emphasis on amazing food and drink from some of the top chefs and restaurants from all over Southern California and beyond.

The full lineup for this year's event won't be revealed until May 5th, but attendees of the SXSW party will get an advance "taste" of what can be expected this fall.

Praise for Music Tastes Good:

"Music Tastes Good showcases Long Beach with an accessible, approachable debut." - Los Angeles Times

"Perhaps most impressive, however, was the fact that Halperin and Fischel put on the festival without the help of a major promoter, making it the rare music event today to go a pure independent route."- Los Angeles Times

"With a solid lineup from top to bottom, it was hard to find a bad time to catch good music." -LA Weekly

"Music Tastes Good aims to put Long Beach on the festival map."- Los Angeles Times

"For fans inside the festival, Music Tastes Good offered that rare experience of a fest that was easy to navigate, had a no-hassles attitude and was comfortably well-run."- Orange County Register

"But while food at the aforementioned fests is most definitely secondary to the music - Long Beach's Music Tastes Good might be the only one around with food built into its original concept. Hell, it's even in the name."- OC Weekly

"Music Tastes Good Makes a Splash as a Warm Neighborhood Festival Full Of Good Music, Good People And Good Food" -Grimy Goods

"This was the first of what I hope will be an annual event in the streets of downtown Long Beach. There were bands for almost every musical taste and great food and drink options as well."- New Noise Magazine

"Music Tastes Good Brought Quality Music and Easygoing Vibes to Long Beach" -Downbeats

"In a sunny state super-saturated with festivals, Music Tastes Good is putting Long Beach on the map thanks to a carefully cultivated line-up of both killers artists and scrumptious, local cuisine."- Elmore Magazine

"Community is key here; Connections are forged with smiles, handshakes and hugs; food and booze are the gluten that binds everything together, satiating the foodie and the music heads alike."
- MXDWN

"Long Beach has always been a hub of culture, food, and art, so it made sense for someone to put together a festival that celebrated all three."- AXS.com

"...a great place to hang out with friends, while listening to good music and eating delicious food." -Fan Boy Nation

"True to its name, Music Tastes Good has also curated a food experience themed to each day of the festival, from a farm-to-table dinner to a Bloody Mary brunch."- Time Out

"If eating top-notch food while getting to see some of the best bands live sounds appealing to you, then you're going to be pumped about this new festival."- LA Music Blog
