New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Blood Moon is the forthcoming record from Redwood, whilst sharing a lot of similarities between post-rock and emo, it doesn't give into the trend of needlessly long songs. As a single it's very bittersweet, it's a gorgeous mix of ambience and glitch with a warm swelling post-rock vibe to it and chooses to end with a vulgar display of power in the form of a righteous guitar solo. The thing about Redwood is that they can offer such a wonderfully short songs that leave you yearning for a longer play.

Alex from Redwood (the best band in the world) shares his thoughts on the writing process of Blood Moon:
"Going into the writing process for this record, we were all in very different places in our lives, location wise and in terms of thoughts and feelings and we wanted this to be communicated in our music. When the first few demos were put together, there seemed to be a clear change in our sound still keeping the large cinematic parts, but an overall increase in the dreamy aspect to our music. As musicians we've always been enamoured with the power that music can have both in quiet and loud sections, which we feel we demonstrated with the contrast from blood moon the opening title track to the last song of the album haunted. Lyrically, even though there are fewer words on the songs on this EP compared to our last release, they meant a lot more and have a lot more ties to actual things that have happened and are happening in our lives. The recording process itself really helped to shape the sound of this EP. We recorded it with our good friend/producer Hamish Dickinson at Phoenix sound studio, the relaxed environment helped us to get out the parts the way we intended them to sound. For us this new release was a learning curve as we attempted to make our songs more sonically interesting, really getting to know our pedals and their capabilities, and to really be able to replicate our live shows with the huge bass sound and roaring atmospheric guitar parts. Overall we feel like this record demonstrates exactly the sound and point we were trying to get across at the time of writing these songs, and couldn't be happier at how they turned out"

Please enjoy the Blood Moon EP and share it with all of your mates and your websites, be lovely if you gave it a review and all!
