SWMRS released their latest single "Berkeley's On Fire" via Fueled By Ramen. The track is available to stream and download now. The band also shared an accompanying music video for the clip directed by Stanley Kalu and Andrea Granera.
"I wrote this song about the very strange feeling of participating in what the television was calling a riot, but looking around and seeing things much differently," shared
SWMRS frontman Cole Becker. "I wanted Stanley and Andrea to think about how we live in this dual world, where often what we see on screens feels more realistic than our actual lived experiences. The effectiveness of that duality, and it's perceived realness seemed to hang in the balance of how anxious we are about the future. While the video takes its jabs at the far right losers who showed up on campus that day to incite violence and infighting, we mostly tried to place the viewer in that same moment of being unsure of whether the world around you actually is falling apart, or if you're just tripping on your anxiety for the future."
SWMRS today also announced their third annual Uncool Halloween Festival will take place on October 27, 2018 at The UC Theatre in Berkeley, CA. Spotlighting California's most exciting rock bands, this year's event will feature performances from SWMRS, Bleached, Mt. Eddy, Beach Goons, Destroy Boys, and Small Crush. Tickets for the show are available starting today at 10:00am PT BELOW.
SWMRS are currently on the road in UK and

Sebastian Mueller, bass, backing vocals) showcase telepathic chemistry on their formal debut, Drive North. Produced by Zac Carper of FIDLAR, it's suffused with coming of age jams, subversive anthems to Miley Cyrus, and a sense of freedom forged out of modern-day confusion. The guitars draw blood, the drums detonate, the voice is unique-the sound is timeless. Originally released on the band's own Uncool Records, Drive North was re-released by Fueled By Ramen in October 2016.
