WAKEFOREST, NC. (Pink Lady Records) - Seeing Sounds, the debut album from alternative rocker Alise Phoenix, is now available on Pink Lady Records. The 12 new tracks blend guitar-driven rock and pop punk gems and feature the soulful, heavy-hitting vocals of 21-year old Phoenix. From the catchy riffs and empowered strut of the opening track .Nevermind,. where Phoenix sings .I know I.m gonna be alright/and I know it.s gonna be alright/so just nevermind,. to the dark undertone and raw emotion of the title track, Seeing Sounds glimpses a compelling artist at the beginning of what promises to be a long career.

Seeing Sounds was produced and written with Neil Cabana (of acclaimed NYC rockers Daisy Ricochet), and features Brooks Potteiger, on electric guitar, Robbie Clay on acoustic guitar, Josh Bonner on bass, and Troy Lano on drums. The album is available through CDBaby and other digital retailers.

Alise Phoenix was born in Boston, Mass., in 1984, and was fronting her first band by the time she was 14. When she turned 18 she moved to New York City and found work as a demo singer for writer/producer Ryan Leslie (Beyonce, New Edition), recording tracks that would be eventually become songs for Britney Spears, Sherri Dennis, and others. Alise learned a great deal about the music business with Leslie as her mentor, and was inspired to forge ahead in making a name for herself as an artist in her own right. She relocated to Toronto, Ont., where she put together a band and co-founded Araya records with business partner and manager Sean Collins. Phoenix and the band are already back in the studio writing and recording the follow up to Seeing Sounds, due out in spring of 2006, and Phoenix recently signed a cross-marketing deal with iPod accessory company iSkin.
