LONDON, UK (Top40 Charts/ Vision Music Promotion) Stalker are a 4 piece indie rock band from Essex. Paul Hale and his brother Dave Hale, along with lifelong friends Paul Turner and Dan Currie, have been playing together in the current form for a year. A self-titled EP was released onto iTunes on the 5th March 2013 which has had some great feedback from BBC Essex and Radio Suffolk. One of the tracks 'The World Was Sleeping' (a more folk/blues style track) was played on BBC 6 Music's Tom Robinson's Introducing Mixtape and on BBC Essex three times. Influences such as Jimi Hendrix, The Police, Kasabian, and Mumford and Sons have made for some punchy songs, that are also catchy with some good old guitar lickery. When it comes to playing live, influences such as Jimi Hendrix mean the guitar is served up on a silver platter, drums are beaten and the songs stay with the listener.
"Inventive songs and great musicianship. This is one stalker you wouldn't mind having in your life." - Radio Suffolk
Kelly Brook is the latest single by Stalker. It is not one of the tracks from the EP but is available to download free from the website. The song is a tribute not only to Kelly Brook but to natural women in general and has attracted a lot of attention, being played on Best of British Unsigned together with an interview about the song. It has had reviews in Maxim and FHM Magazine but probably most significant, it was tweeted by the star of the single herself saying "It's a good tune".
