CHICAGO, IL. (Top40 Charts/ Split Media) - The people have spoken and Detroit loves The Fold. Detroit's 89x picks up on The Fold's parody video "Every Band In The USA" (a parody of Miley Cyrus' Party in the USA). Every week night at 7:00p.m., 89x puts two songs against each other for the People's Choice contest and opens the phone lines up for listeners to note on which song is better. The Fold's "Every Band In The USA" won the People's Choice Champion title five days in a row December 8 through the 15th, beating out 30 Seconds to Mars, Atreyu, Muse, The Bravery and Lupe Fiasco.

"I found the track when I was checking out new music on-line one weekend. I then decided to play on my show (89@Nite) on the People's Choice, and it has won for 5 nights in a row now. I'm just a big music head, and when I hear something that sounds good that I think can react well on-air...I play it!' - Jay Hudson, 89x.

The Chicago-based band wrote and recorded "Every Band In The USA" armed with a concept, an iPhone 3GS, and iMovie. After posting the video on YouTube, it received over 100,000 plays in the first four days. Currently the video has over 195,000 views, and has garnered attention from the BBC1 in the United Kingdom and from top artists such as Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy.
