LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts/ Earshot Media) - Scottish rock band Twin Atlantic release opening track "Lightspeed" from their John Travis (Sugar Ray, Kid Rock and Static X) produced forthcoming mini-album, Vivarium, starting Monday, June 29th. The track is available for free download exclusively at www.TwinAtlantic.com for a limited time only.

As frontman Sam McTrusty explains, "We've been away for a little while recording Vivarium, so we wanted to give something back to our fan base as a thank you for their patience and continued support."

As an added bonus, the band will be giving away an acoustic version of "Lightspeed" to those who twitter about it. Fans will be able to download the bonus track in exchange for one tweet via a turnkey interface on www.TwinAtlantic.com

A corresponding video, shot in the Salton Sea in the desert of California, can also be seen by visiting www.TwinAtlantic.com or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3njDN2UpRfY

"Lightspeed" follows Twin Atlantic's critically acclaimed single, "What is Light? Where is Laughter?" (September 2008) and their self-released EP A Guidance from Colour (March 2008). The band has built a supportive following throughout the UK from touring with bands such as Circa Survive, The Subways and Biffy Clyro in addition to opening slots alongside The Smashing Pumpkins and Thrice. During their March '09 headlining tour they sold out the 1,000 capacity QMU venue in their hometown of Glasgow.

Fresh from their appearance at Donington Park's Download Festival, and with further festival performances already confirmed at Guilfest, T In The Park and Sonisphere, as well as a soon to be announced headlining jaunt, the run up to Vivarium, like the record itself - is looking very healthy.
The Vivarium mini-album and preceding single "You're Turning Into John Wayne" will both be released this fall.
