Underground Reunion 20 September 2014
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The Underground has a little surprise for you. For just one night, bands will be putting their hiatus or retirement aside and flocking to Grappar's Cellar to play at the show of the decade - literally, seeing as how it's The Underground's ten year anniversary.

Brace yourselves for the lineup: first up is Benson Looi of Slash!Sakura!Slash!, whose emotional and melodic guitar riffs have once lured many heavyweight musicians to play with him on the stage; wonder if he'll be bringing along any of these star-studded guest that night (eg Mike from ChoChukMo was a frequent past guest)? Next is super-group Guitar & Panties, the all girl pop sensation whose slogan is "Sometimes we wear them, sometimes we don't". Four Hong Kong girls reuniting after an eight year hiatus (vocalist is none other than Chris from Sisters of Sharon). The third act is Endeavour (民藝復興), who offer something different with their post-ambient art rock; going back all the way to the 1980s, when filmmaker and new media artist Makin Fung met music maven/veteran DJ Wong Chi Chung (who co-produced 剎那天地 with David Bowie), the group has enjoyed success in not only artsy settings but also in the club scene. The evening then really heats up with the fourth band, The Train - the Britpop outfit that was crowned the Hong Kong Champion of World Battle of the Bands Competition in 2006. There's no one less fit to wrap up the night than the badass band behind the founding of Harbour Records, the same group which dramatically announced "This is the end of False Alarm" in 2011. Well - guess what, the noisy sensual pop band is back for this show and they're noisier than ever.

Tickets are $150 advance and $200 at the door, and includes not only a free drink of Singha beer or Jagermeister, but also comes with entry to a lucky draw that could leave you walking away with dinner for two at Grappa's Cellar, a complete makeover from HIPPFISH, HK$500 HMV vouchers, a Limited Edition Underground Leather Guitar Strap and other exciting prizes.

So save the date, mark your calendars, bring your dad, bring your high school friends you haven't seen in ten years (this is a reunion, after all); come one, come all. See you 9:00pm at Grappar's Cellar on 20th September! To find out more about the bands, visit https://undergroundhk.com/2014/09/20/underground-reunion/
