New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Denver Colorado's BLACK SKY FESTIVAL returns with a monster lineup featuring Chicago's death metal macabre BROKEN HOPE in a three part headliner alongside the almighty EXHUMED and thrash masters HAVOK!

Now in it's fifth year, DENVER BLACK SKY FESTIVAL continues to be Colorado's premier heavy metal event featuring only the best in extreme music.

In addition to the triple headliner- BROKEN HOPE, EXHUMED and HAVOK; the full festival lineup includes Expulsion, Acephalix, Axeslasher vs. Troglodyte, Severed, Glacial Tomb, and Saddle of Southern Darkness.

"On behalf of the band, I can say that BROKEN HOPE is ecstatic and honored to be asked to play this years' edition of the DENVER BLACK SKY FESTIVAL on Saturday, December 9 at the Gothic Theatre in Denver. We are appearing as a 'Three-way-headline spot' with Broken Hope--Exhumed--Havok closing out the festival with an insane lineup that also features Expulsion and a bunch of other sick bands. BROKEN HOPE hasn't been played in Denver since 2013, so DBSF is going to be an amazing return to Denver for BH, it's our last show of the year, too, so we're gonna make it very special for you all and we couldn't be more delighted. We love you, Denver! This festival is gonna slay!" states BROKEN HOPE guitarist and co-founder Jeremy Wagner.

Presented by Relapse Records and Black Sky Brewing; DENVER BLACK SKY FESTIVAL takes place Saturday, December 9 at the Gothic Theatre. Early Bird Tickets are only $20.00 and are going fast! Get them while supplies last at https://www.gothictheatre.com/events/detail/343786

Described as…"a delightfully brutal and disgusting sonic assault." by KERRANG! Magazine, BROKEN HOPE released their seventh full length studio album Mutilated and Assimilated earlier this year on June 29th via Century Media Records (Sony).

Produced by Scott Creekmore and cover artwork created by Wes Benscoter; Mutilated and Assimilated is available now in the following formats: Special Edition CD+DVD Digipack and digital & streaming versions available via all major outlets worldwide.

"Broken Hope are back in the saddle...composed highlights such as the bestial 'The Bunker', the dynamic groove pendulum 'Outback Incest Clan', the dissonant, 'Russian Sleep Experiment' or the 'The Necropants' convey brutal energy in a powerful sound. Chicago's Death veterans are an interesting bridge to their 1991 debut, ending a solid inferno hit factor."
- METAL HAMMER (DE/Germany)

"Mutilated and Assimilated is an album that scratches an itch that's sure to get infected and necrotized. You'll probably lose a limb" - OUTBURN MAGAZINE

It's death metal wonderfully devoid of artifice and filler, packed with songs that drive to a finish without stopping for one second and never engage in useless pleasantries" - DECIBEL MAGAZINE

"The title track references the horror classic The Thing, and that sort of Lovecraftian body horror is at the center of why Broken Hope's horror metal works so well: they understand that a good monster needs to be scary, but it also needs nuance and times when you can catch your breath and ponder your futile existence. Mutilated and Assimilated nails that aesthetic, as the band's shape-shifting death melodic brutal death is a (horrifying) beauty to behold. Songs immediately sink their meat hooks into you and stay there for a while. This is the kind of gorefest that is meant to be savored, even if you'd rather look away. Broken Hope have, after all this time, crafted their sharpest statement of intent, and it's deadly, seriously, great." - NEW NOISE MAGAZINE

"Taking inspiration from the John Carpenter classic, Mutilated and Assimilated is not only the albums brilliant title track but a representation of the band themselves. Having once more mutilated songs from their original fleshing out to what we will now here on the album the band have crafted some of the heaviest and catchiest Death Metal you'll hear this year."
- THE METALIST

"While the jagged guitars and pummeling rhythms are as gentle as bandsaws, I was most impressed by Damian Leski's venomous vocals. The man sounds like he's getting in his regular 64 ounces of Drano on 'The Bunker' and 'Russian Sleep Experiment.' Mutilated and Assimilated, a reminder that it's Wagner and Company's bloody barbecue… and it still tastes good."
- GHOSTCULT MAGAZINE

"This album has emotions ranging from fist stabbing workouts to head decapitating guitar rhythms and an overall darkness, which pervades like a dark cloud of infinite rain. Yes, it does sound morbid, miserable, horror-filled, and more so violent than anything else, but "Mutilated And Assimilated" is a journey into the never-ending realms of death beyond anyone's twisted imagination."
- EXPLICITLY INTENSE

"This here is another demonstration of how underground death metal is continuing to hold strong and this will receive a strong welcome with new listeners, and even a great pat on the back from diehard fans of the band. Some will even be pleasantly surprised, and for many, it will definitely be on constant rotation in car stereos and playlists. Hails Broken Hope for a solid, ripping job on 'Mutilated and Assimilated."
- METAL ASSAULT LA

"It's time to get bruuuuutal! The riffs are heavy and sludgy, the vocals guttural and the double kick drum firing away on all cylinders in the new Broken Hope song Mutilated and Assimilated." - LOUDWIRE

"The Meek Shall Inherit Shit" is the audio equivalent of having someone drop a lead weight on your skull, over and over."
- NO CLEAN SINGING

"In terms of Death Metal albums in 2017, Broken Hope's Mutilated And Assimilated earns them top honours. Without further upheaval, CrypticRock gives this album 4.5 out of 5 stars."
