NEW YORK (Columbia Records/ www.crossfadeonline.com) - 2004 is shaping up as a watershed year for Crossfade, the South Carolina-based hard rock band. The group has the No 1 Record of the Year at Active Rock radio, surpassing every competing act at the format.

While Crossfade, the band's debut album on FG Records/Columbia Records, remains in the No 1 slot on the Billboard Top Heatseekers album chart for its sixth consecutive week, "Cold," the group's breakthrough single, is 2004's No 1 Most Played Song at Active Rock radio, according to Billboard Monitor.

The Crossfade-penned "Cold" has spent a full six months in Active Rock's Top 10 - it's charted on Active Rock for a total of 40 weeks - and is holding steady at No 5 on the Modern Rock charts, where it's been charting for the last 20 weeks, reaching an audience of 14 million listeners.

Crossfade is scheduled to perform "Cold" on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" on December 6. The band's performance on "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" is slated to re-air on January 6.

The video clip for "Cold," featuring GUESS? model/"Entourage" actress Beau Garrett, is currently in rotation on FUSE and VH1.
"'Cold' gives an overall feeling of foreboding, a feat accomplished through the band's standout vocals," wrote Radio & Records. "The lead singer soars over the top of a bottom-heavy instrumental, and the harmony is impressive and unique."
"So Far Away," the second single from Crossfade, is already No 23 on the Active Rock chart, according to R&R.

Released on April 13, 2004, Crossfade has been steadily climbing up the Billboard 200 bestselling albums chart and is currently selling upwards of 10,000 copies per week. The album was self-produced by Crossfade, with post-production by Randy Straub (Nickelback, U2, Metallica, and others) and recorded at the band's garage studio in Columbia, South Carolina.
Currently on the road with Alter Bridge, Crossfade will perform a seriesof headlined shows and radio gigs in December (see itinerary following).
