Larry Stephenson Band Wins SPBGMA Album Of The Year For 'Pull Your Savior In'
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music of America honored the Larry Stephenson Band with the 2015 SPBGMA Album of the Year Award for Pull Your Savior In. The 41st SPBGMA Awards Show was held Sunday evening at the Nashville Sheraton Music City Hotel as part of the organization's multi-day convention that draws music fans from across the country.

The Larry Stephenson Band includes members Larry Stephenson, Kenny Ingram, Kevin Richardson, and Matt Wright. The group performed last Friday and Saturday evening on the SPBGMA Main Stage before they headed over to the Texas Troubadour Theatre to serve as Host of the Ernest Tubb Midnite Jamboree that was broadcast live on AM 650 WSM Radio.

On Sunday evening, Larry and his wife Dreama, presented the first three SPBGMA Awards of the evening. "SPGBMA is a weekend I look forward to all year, it's a wonderful event that promotes Bluegrass Music and its artists. I couldn't have been any happier or surprised with the win. Thank you SPBGMA and most of all the fans for the Album of the Year Award," said Stephenson.

Pull Your Savior In was produced by Ben Surratt and Larry Stephenson and includes Larry Stephenson, Kenny Ingram, Colby Laney, Danny Stewart with special guests Jimmy Fortune, Aubrey Haynie, David Parmley, and Dale Perry. "Celebrating their 25th anniversary with their latest CD, The Larry Stephenson Band has put out a collection of bluegrass and gospel songs that explain the longevity of their success. The songs will also make you feel really good. You can resist feeling good all you want, but I swear, by the time track 7 starts, and the Band eases their way into How Great Thou Art; I promise your ears will tell your soul to smile," says Parchbench in a recent album review.

Larry Stephenson has celebrated numerous other awards during his impressive 25 year career including his induction into the Virginia Country Music Hall of Fame, two International Bluegrass Music Association Recorded Event of the Year Awards, the 2012 SPBGMA Mandolin Player of the Year Award, and five SPBGMA Contemporary Male Vocalist of the Year Awards.
