New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The hunt for America's best unsigned drummer continues as the Sam Ash
Music "Best in Drums" competition rolls into the Regional Championship round. The Regional Finals are set to go 7:30 pm on Wednesday, August 24th at six of the retail chain's 46 store locations: New York City-NY, Chicago-IL, King of Prussia-PA, Nashville-TN, Miami-FL, and Cerritos-CA. Regional winners will advance to September's National Championship
Round in Las Vegas. In all, over $130,000 in gear from Tama, Sabian, Remo, Zoom, Samson, ProMark and DrumFun will be awarded over the course of the contest.
Sam Ash Music, America's premier full-line music store chain, launched the "Best in Drums" contest in July to determine America's best unsigned drummer. Over seven hundred drummers registered for the competition. At the store finals earlier this month, 42 drummers earned the Store

The competition is intense. The drummers play along to a Mike Portnoy backing track, performing live in front of enthusiastic audiences. The judges score the players on their technical skills, originality, accuracy, and showmanship. The six Regional Champs will be flown to Las
Vegas to compete in Final Championship
