New York, NY (Top40 Charts) On October 6, the Nashville-based singer and songwriter Becca Mancari will release her debut album Good Woman via Gold Tooth Records. Today, The FADER premiered the video for "Summertime Mama," the second song to be released from the forthcoming album, and called it "...a compact, breezy song about summer crushes." The video features guest appearences from Brittany Howard of the Alabama Shakes and Jesse Lafser alongside footage from the first-ever Bermuda Triangle show.

"'Summertime Mama' is probably the most whimsical and carefree track on the record, and I love it for that reason. It's a song about having a crush from afar, and hoping the person will notice you," explains Mancari. "What I love about it is that I feel like everyone can relate to what it feels like to have summer love, and as quickly as it comes the changing season takes it away."

NPR Music's Jewly Hight premiered "Arizona Fire" and said, "...the symbolic spaciousness that can be found in the music of Becca Mancari, an important new voice emerging from Nashville's indie country, folk and rock circles, is striking."

Rolling Stone Country recently named Mancari one of 10 New Country Artists You Need To Know and called her music, "The spacey soundtrack for sunbaked afternoons, full of atmospheric Americana, hazy folk-rock and songwriting that drifts, drawls and draws you in."

The 9 songs that comprise Good Woman find Mancari establishing roots in Nashville following a life in transition. Born in Staten Island, NY, to an Italian-Irish preacher father and a Puerto Rican mother, Mancari has spent time working as a janitor in South Florida, writing songs with train hoppers in the Blue Ridge Mountains, and traveling to India seeking spirituality.

The release of Good Woman follows a whirlwind year where she was named one of "Nine Artists To Watch For At AmericanaFest 2016" by NPR Music after the release of her song "Summertime Mama." Over a short period of time, Mancari was invited to open shows for artists like Margo Price, Hurray For The Riff Raff, SUSTO, Joan Osborne and many more.

Mancari's debut is hauntingly lonesome, with dust cloud swells of electric guitar and don't-look-back lyrics that reveal scenes from Mancari's well-travelled life. Since her music is the landscape of all she's seen, Good Woman evokes the sound of city grit and the mountain music of her youth, swirling into a fresh, nostalgic sound.

In reference to her evolving sound, Mancari said in an interview with Native Magazine, "Our hope is that we're doing something that respects the roots but also has space and the galaxy in it."

This fall, Mancari and her band will showcase Good Woman on tours with Birdtalker and Humming House, with additional tour dates to be announced later this year.
