Nashville, TN (Top40 Charts/ Drake Jensen Official Website) Canadian country newcomer Drake Jensen is slated to perform songs off his debut album, On My Way To Finding You, at the Commodore Grille's Songwriter Night (Holiday Inn Nashville-Vanderbilt/2613 West End Ave.) on Tuesday, July 26th at 6:30 PM. The in-the-round style show will feature Drake alongside his Producer Kim Copeland and local songwriter Rachel Williams.

With a musical style that can best be described as uniting old and new country sounds, his first single off the album, Wash Me Away, is currently airing on radio in Canada, America, Australia, New Zealand, Europe and the UK & Ireland. Renowned music critic, Robert K. Oermann of Music Row Magazine, praised the tune by giving it the DisCovery Award, calling it "unmistakably country." "Not only is the song finely crafted, but he sings with open throated confidence and clear conviction," said Oermann, dubbing it "a winner."

With one of Nashville's most-respected opinion makers already on board, Drake is sure to make a lot of new fans here in Music City and the Commodore Grille is just the place to garner him a bit of spotlight.

Born in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Drake grew up listening to country music because it was his mother's favorite. At the age of 4, he connected to John Denver's Country Roads, influencing him to give his heart over to the music long before his mind and voice knew how to sing it. As a teenager, Cape Breton was the proving ground for Drake. He took any opportunity to play both rock and country in any venue available but in time, his music fell by the wayside. After a lengthy hiatus and a lonesome longing for some deep-rooted country croon, Drake re-invented his style, reloaded his soul and brought his dream of becoming a vocal artist back to life. Now, armed with his first album, Drake is ready to show the world what he's made of.
