The show - dubbed Country Indie - will showcase the best of country music's independent artists. The show's creator, Susan Tucker says, 'It's important to draw attention to the fact that, beyond the world of the major label artists, there is a whole other realm of artists. Those that are out there making great music and working hard, all without the money and support of a major record label.'
Ms. Tucker of the Nashville based Copeland Tucker Management, has managed to create the perfect platform for independent artists to reach out to the mainstream country music fan. The Wildhorse Saloon is one of the premier venues in Nashville, where the country music fans know they will always be able catch a great show.
The series will be hosted by Nashville indie artist Rachel Williams. Each monthly installment will spotlight three top tier acts - bringing not just a performance, but an entire show to the Wildhorse Saloon. 'There are so many great performers that country music fans would love to embrace, but they're not getting the opportunity to know these artists for a number of reasons. One of which is a lack of radio support. I'm hoping this series will help these hard working and talented artists further their careers,' explains Tucker.
Country Indie at The Wildhorse Saloon, will kick off on December 15, 2009. The inaugural show will feature host Rachel Williams, singer/songwriter and CMA Music Festival regular Sage Keffer and Grammy nominated singer/songwriter Kim McLean.
