NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Dixie Chicks Fans Website/CMT) - The Dixie Chicks' recently cancelled CMT Crossroads special is now back on, but instead of the Dave Matthews Band, who pulled out due to a scheduling conflict, the multiplatinum-selling trio will swap tunes with James Taylor. This particular episode of the popular show will tape July 31 in Nashville before an invitation-only audience, while the cable network plans to air the show sometime in October. Crossroads, one of the highest-rated shows on CMT, has previously featured such country/rock collaborations as Hank Williams Jr. and Kid Rock, Ryan Adams and Elton John, Brooks & Dunn and ZZ Top, and Willie Nelson and Sheryl Crow. The Dixie Chicks' new album, Home, will be released August 27. The album's debut single, "Long Time Gone," claims the Number Seven spot on the Top40-Charts Country Singles chart.
