Doug Briney To Perform At Van Zant "Hope For Freedom" Benefit
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ MTS Management Group) MTS Management Group is happy to announce Doug Briney will be performing at the Jimmie Van Zant "Hope For Freedom" Benefit Concert, to be held September 19-20, 2014 at the Noccalula Falls Campground Stage, 1600 Noccalula Rd. in Gadsden, Alabama. Doug will perform at 3:10pm on Saturday, September 20th. The concert will benefit the South-Atlantic Liver Transplant Fund. Country singer/songwriter, Jimmie Van Zant was diagnosed with liver cancer, and is in need of a life-saving liver transplant. He is the cousin of legendary Van Zant brothers, Ronnie and Johnnie Van Zant (Lynyrd Skynyrd) and Donnie Van Zant (.38 Special.) A meet and greet with Jimmie and some of the Van Zant family is planned, and a silent auction will be held on Sunday, September 21st, as part of the weekend-long event. On Memorial Day, Doug Briney announced that he would be donating 100% of his profits from the sale of his single, "Unknown Soldier" to Operation Troop Aid, ending on Labor Day. Doug has now announced, he will be extending his campaign, through Veterans Day, November 11, 2014.
