In the 1970's, some country artists in Austin, Texas rebelled against 'Nashville Country,' using that same 'outlaw spirit, ' they brought the grit and life back to country music.
In this one-of-a-kind tribute, rising stars alongside veteran country artists perform in honor of the Outlaw, in music and in lore, including songs from Outlaw Country legends Willie Nelson and Johnny Cash.
Performers include Joe Ely, Jessie Colter, Cowboy Troy, Rodney Crowell, Carlene Carter, Asleep at the Wheel, Holly Williams and many more.
