Nashville, TN. (Top40 Charts/ Sugarhill Records) - Sugar Hill/Vanguard artists Joey+Rory received their first Academy of Country
Music nomination for Top Vocal Duo. Alongside country veterans Brooks & Dunn, Big & Rich, Montgomery Gentry, and Sugarland, the duo has some stiff competition.
"When I heard the news this morning, I told Joey 'guess who just got nominated for an ACM Award', and then I said 'Happy Valentines Day love'," explains Rory Feek - one half of the duo."I'm scoring big points as a husband here! But seriously, just to nominated for an ACM award in any category at any time, is an honor...but to be listed on the same ballot with 4 duos that are heroes of ours...that's crazy!"
The Hardison Mill, TN couple who first became known through the CMT's "Can You Duet" show last year, have been experiencing great sales success with the release of their debut album "Life Of A Song".
