To celebrate her first tour Katie has teamed up with AOL's The Boot to keep a picture diary of life on the road for fans. Starting today, fans can check out 'Katie's Mall Memories' by going to www.theboot.com. Once a week pictures will be posted until the end of her tour August 16th.
The tour in support of her critically acclaimed second album Believe on Cold River Records kicked off June 23rd in Santa Rosa , California . The day was special to Katie not only because it was her first show but it was her 18th birthday. Katie performed for an excited crowd of shoppers at the Coddingtown Mall and later celebrated her birthday with them as well. Next week she is set to return to her home state of Texas for several shows at Simon malls including one in her hometown at the Katy Mills Mall July 11th. She will also make a special stop in Nashville July 15th to perform at the Opry Mills Mall.
As an extension of the Simon dTOUR Live series Katie performs two 45-minute sets at each mall. She also accompanies one lucky concert-goer on a shopping spree, courtesy of Simon malls.
