Davenport, IA (Top40 Charts/ Joe Karsten Official Website) - Joe Karsten has released his latest country and pop music songs, marking a huge stage in the career of the multi-talented acoustic singer-songwriter. Joe, who lives in rural, Davenport, Iowa, has just put the final touches to the songs, and is now preparing for the imminent release that will build upon his fan base and get his music heard by more people than ever.

The release consists of 5 original songs from Joe, each providing a combination his high-energy guitar playing, melodious vocals and heartfelt lyrics. The rhythmic undercurrent bears testament to Garth Brooks, Brad Paisley, Hank Williams, Jr.and John Mellencamp styles, and the music is punctuated throughout with elements of pop and down-home roots rock.

The songs were recorded at County Que in Nashville Tennessee, and its creation was supported by musicians who have been associated with Van Morrison, Garth Brooks and the Charlie Daniel's Band. It was produced by Karsten and was post produced by Tim Buppert, who has worked with such artists as Brooks, Paisley, and Sheryl Crow.

The theme of the songs underly the changes that Joe has gone through over recent years, the biggest of which being the 'switch?f from Los Angeles back to Iowa. It was this that allowed him to thrive off the new opportunities presented to him, to explore fresh sounds and develop his musical style.

Joe?fs life has certainly been full of experiences. Not long ago, he was a name of local L.A. legend, saturating the Los Angeles South Bay area with the same Midwest-flavor that had made Karsten such a consistent crowd-friendly favorite. Blitzing crowds with infectious, guitar-and- keyboard driven pop and feel good, celebratory rock, it wasn?ft long before they were noticed by a local management team with ties to Heartland rocker John Mellencamp, who not only hand-picked the band the QKUMBRZ to share a stage with him at Farm Aid, but also wrote and recorded with Karsten and his Qkumbrz, placing their "Hold Me Like You Used To Do" on the acclaimed soundtrack for his motion picture directing debut, "Falling From Grace."

Now, back to his hometown roots in Iowa, with a resume and library of songs longer than most modern celebrity rap sheets, Karsten has set out on his own as a songwriter. Surrounded by writers hand-picked to supplement his lush musical and lyrical tapestries, these songs shine, like the perfect summer placement song "Gone Fishin',' the vibrant bounce of 'Stop Tellin' Me Stories' and the pain of losing a loved one in 'Tears in The Window.' He writes infectious hooks that suit the demanding style of Nashville and pop radio audiences, while clamoring with a folk-flavored '70s soul, weaving a sound so perfectly suited for a wide range of Adult Contemporary formats, it is simple, Joe's writing "goes for, and hits the jugular every time".
They are now available, and fans are encouraged to visit joe's website, which provides everything you could want to know about the talented songwriter/musician.
