NASHVILLE, TN (Dakota Sky Records) - Dakota Sky Records announces the release of country artist, Nickia Blythe, new album, The Girl You Use To Know. The first release off her album, "Say Goodbye', was written by Bonnie Baker, Jason Deere, and Kimberly Lee Keyes and the video can been seen on www.cmt.com.

This spiritual song, 'Say Goodbye', is about a girl who wants to dream but is held back by herself. She finally says goodbye to the girl but hello to a woman. This reflective and self-discovery theme is resonate throughout Nickia's work.

Other songs on the new album include the up-tempo 'Cheater's Road' which is about finding love in all the wrong places in which a girl desperate to feel pretty and smart even if it involves losing her self-respect and jeopardizing the sanctity of marriage.

The single, 'More To This Than That', a duet with label mate, Marty Raybon, that not only showcases Nickia's vocal range but her harmonizing ability. The heart-tugging song is a couple going through a divorce and this song explores their attempt to divide the past and to let go without any arguments.

The song 'Honey I Do' is a fun and energetic song that gets you up and dancing. The joy of loving someone so much comes out of this song.

Nickia may be the best kept secret from Kansas . From her hometown of Lyons , to the beautiful beaches of California , where she lived until recently, the 24-year-old beauty has spread her hunger for country music. Inspired by Dolly and Reba from a young age, Nickia's dreams of being a performer came true last year when she visited Nashville and recorded her first album. In April 2006, she was signed to Dakota Sky Records, the label that also signed Grammy winning legend Marty Raybon (the former Shenandoah lead vocalist).
