Nashville, TN. (Top40 Charts/ d. corlew films) - d. corlew films is proud to announce its second live performance DVD of Blue Hat Records/KOCH Entertainment artist Charlie Daniels, the critically acclaimed Preachin', Prayin', Singin' with Charlie Daniels & Friends: Live From Nashville.

Released Nov. 11 in association with Privateers Film Company, Preachin' Prayin' Singin' has received overwhelmingly positive reviews, with Billboard's Jonathan Cohen calling the film "a historical treasure" and Amazon.com's Andrew Bartlett declaring, "Rarely has religious music in the United States sounded as thrilling as on this collection."

David Corlew, owner of documentary film company d. corlew films, shot Preachin', Prayin', Singin' in sepia-toned black and white in an attempt to capture the simplicity of the historical Country Music Hall of Fame, where the performance took place.

"I wanted to try to convey the natural feel of the theater," Corlew said. "Having guests like the McCoury family, the Whites, the Scruggs family and Mac Wiseman there just made the night that much more special. I'm thrilled that d. corlew films captured the performance on tape and got another opportunity to work with a legend like Charlie."

Directed by Read Ridley, Preachin', Prayin', Singin,' was filmed at the Ford Theater inside the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in 2005, where Daniels debuted songs from his Grammy-nominated bluegrass-gospel album, Songs From the LongLeaf Pines. Several of Daniels' friends joined him for the evening, including bluegrass legends the Scruggs family (Earl, Gary and Randy), the McCoury family (Del, Ronnie and Rob), the Whites (Sharon, Cheryl and Buck) and Mac Wiseman.

Corlew also produced Daniels' 2007 DVD, Live From Iraq. He is currently filming a documentary on cowboys in the Northwest United States, but will return to Iraq in April 2009 to collect footage from Daniels' upcoming overseas tour. A Charlie Daniels bluegrass Christmas DVD is also in the works for next year.
