NEW YORK (Jonaja Records) - With more than 10 European LPs and CDs under his belt, Joe Bourne, who lived in The Netherlands for 25 has mixed jazz, and easy listening genres in his U.S. debut CD on the Independent label, Jonaja records. (Jonaja 1045). www.joebourne.com

Joe is backed on this CD by the Gary Moran trio, with Moran on piano, Scott Black on bass and Ed DeLucia on guitar. Joe and the trio recapture the unique Nat King Cole trio sound of the late 1940s. This 16 track tribute includes memorable as well as some exciting, not so overly exposed Cole repertoire such as Your Looking at Me, For all we Know, Satchell Mouth Baby, Little Girl, Walking My Baby Back Home, On the Sunny Side of the Street, This is My Night To Dream, Besame Mucho, 'Tis Autumn, The Best Man, Slow Down, When I Fall In Love and more.

Born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Joe Bourne was inspired by many of the big names of Jazz and popular music that toured the Boston area. Joe, always seems to capture the audience with his own elegant style, warm mellifluous jazz baritone, voice and his dynamic showmanship. He has the virtuosity combined with ease of execution needed to communicate the fun and swing of this music.

Joe has shared the stage with Natalie Cole, Ray Charles, Nina Simone, Dionne Warwick and several other jazz and popular music greats.

Over the years, Joe has received several prestigious awards such as The Diamond of the year award presented by The Bund Botschafter Ohne Grenzen. and the Kunstler des Jahres (Artist of the Year award) both for Top class entertainment in Germany. The Silver Orpheus in Bulgaria and the Jimmy Kennedy award in Ireland both for his special presentation of Gershwin's "Summertime". Joe was recently the guest vocalist in concert with the Cleveland Pops Orchestra and is the current board vice president of the Tucson Jazz Society.

Gary Moran, a jazz educator with a Masters in Music from Virginia Commonwealth University, Carpenter Center Performing Scholar, and an MFA from the Art Institute of Chicago has a deep respect and understanding of Nat's piano style and the music of his trio. He has transcribed the arrangements from the original recordings and contributes his own improvised solos that are contemporary, yet rooted in the 1940s style.

Bourne, Moran and Black will be joined by guitarist Matt Mitchell for future concerts. Matt Mitchell who is influenced by rock, blues jazz and Latin has a degree in classical guitar and recently was one of five nominees for the 2002 Arizona Arts Award. Bassist Scott Black is a graduate of Indiana University and brings his extensive New York and Chicago experience to the mix.

Remembering Mr. Cole has been Nominated for the annual Top 10 list for the International Jazz Journalists Association Polls.

The track, "For All We Know", will appear on the compilation CD of JAZZIZ Magazine in February, 2005
