"Music Is Free"- Anastasia Rene Trio

Theater for the New City's "Dream Up Festival," now in its fifth year, has added a musical component. Jules Bistro, the music club/bistro located at 65 Saint Marks Place, has partnered with the Festival to offer "Music is Free," a series of various jazz artists performing live at TNC.
Three performances will be offered, at which admission is free but reservations are strongly recommended. To sign up for a seat, email [email protected] stating your name and number of tickets you are requesting. All events are at Theater for the New City, 155 First Ave. (at East Tenth Street).

With Anastasia René (vocalist), Robert Anthony Sexton (guitar) and Skip Scott (drums). Ms. René has been compared to Sarah Vaughan, Chaka Khan, Cassandra Wilson, Julia Fordham and Nina Simone.
