New Artist Shelea Brings Romance Back To Music With Her Debut Album; The Iconic Stevie Wonder Guests On The Title Track 'Love Fell On Me'
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Breath of Life Records) Newcomer Shelea may not yet be a household name, but that's about to change with the release of her debut album Love Fell On Me, available October 16 on Breath of Life Records via RED Distribution, a Sony Music Company. The album features a special guest: the legendary Stevie Wonder, one of Shelea's biggest supporters.

Shelea is a true triple threat: songwriter, musician, and performer, whose talent has already been recognized via collaborations with hugely successful artists like Take 6, Chante Moore, and Wonder. She's performed on many soundtracks for films, including Hotel Rwanda, Akeelah and the Bee, Be Cool and Jumping the Broom, where her song, "Love Fell On Me," was the musical theme. 2012 has been an incredible year for Shelea, with a Gershwin Prize performance at the White House (where she met President Obama and the First Lady) and at the "Unite For An AIDS-Free Generation" event in Washington, D.C. But with the release of her debut, Love Fell On Me, the stunning depth of Shelea's talent will be revealed.

Love Fell On Me exudes love. It encompasses a classic blend of balladry, R&B, and jazz weaving them together in a narrative that addresses heartbreak, the excitement of new romance, and the ups and downs of being in love. Those who long for the good old days of late night listening to love songs on the radio, with the lights turned down low, will find delights in this album. It is a return to romance.

The debut single, "Seeing You," showcases Shelea's celestial vocal range. The tune speaks of love lost, but reminds us that we can always see those we care about in our dreams. But "'Love Fell on Me" is Shelea's "favorite song on the album," with Stevie Wonder adding his signature, lyrical harmonica licks to the track. "When I hear her voice, it goes straight to my heart. When I feel her spirit, it goes straight to my soul," Stevie adds.

Another standout track is "Can't Play it Cool," a smoldering love confessional, with Chuck Findley's muted trumpet accentuating the heat. Other great musicians featured on the album are Gregg Bissonette (drums), Michael Ripoll (guitar) and Ramon Stagnaro (guitar).

Shelea's artistry has been recognized by legendary musicians, filmmakers, and even the President of the United States. With the release of Love Fell On Me, her dedicated list of admirers is poised to expand, exponentially. "Music has the ability to touch the soul, and that is exactly what I hope my album does to a lot of people," Shelea comments.
