(NEW YORK Top40 Charts/ 150 Music) - Stevie Holland's new CD Before Love Has Gone is a collection of rarely recorded classics and standards as well as original songs penned by Holland and her collaborator, award winning composer Gary William Friedman, who also did the arrangements, and whose jazz roots run deep to the free form experiments of the 60's. The ten-track set begins with a playful, Latin-flavored invitation to dance via Vincent Youman's "Carioca".

The unblushingly romantic journey continues with "Before Love Has Gone", "Where Or When" (Rodgers/Hart), "Lazy Afternoon" (Jerome Moross/John Latouche), "The Music In Me That Plays" (Holland/Friedman), "Make Our Garden Grow" (Richard Wilbur/Leonard Bernstein), "Daybreak" (Harold Adamson/ Ferde Grofe), "How Deep Is The Ocean" (Irving Berlin), "Riverboat Gambler" (Carly Simon/Jacob Brackman) and "Here's To Your Illusions" (Sammy Fain/Yip Harburg).

Grammy award winner Todd Barkan serves as co-producer of Before Love Has Gone, contributing his vast experience to the shaping of this album. Barkan describes Holland's performance of "Lazy Afternoon" as "One of the finest vocals I have ever recorded".

Holland's gifted trio consists of Martin Bejerano, piano, Edward Perez, bass and Willie Jones III, drums. Saxophonist Ole Mathisen and guitarist Paul Bollenback also appear on several tracks.

Stevie Holland's sense of humor, emotional vulnerability, swinging jazz phrasing and sheer vocal beauty all shine through on Before Love Has Gone. Recorded in late December 2007 in NYC, Before Love Has Gone is Holland's fourth release of standards and original material from 150 Music.

Holland's previous albums include Restless Willow and More Than Words Can Say, which charted at radio stations across the country, ending up on a variety of lists including KSDS FM, San Diego, CA's Top Ten CDs of the Year, and the Cape Fear Jazz Appreciation Society in NC's Top Ten CDs of the Year. Other recording credits include co-writing (with Friedman) and singing vocals on a theme song for Rock N' Roll Hall of Famer/Radio talk show host Joey Reynolds, which is played nightly on his show.

Holland's abilities as a dynamic performer have allowed her to traverse a variety of musical worlds. She's given critically acclaimed performances in a wide range of venues and concert halls in the U.S., gathering honors that include the BACKSTAGE MAGAZINE Bistro Award for Outstanding Vocalist of the Year.
Paying homage to her Norwegian roots with the song "Jeg Elsker Dig"on Restless Willow brought such resounding enthusiasm from the Norwegian community, that Holland was invited to perform for the King and Queen of Norway. Holland has also performed on Norway's TV station NRK as part of the country's national fund raiser.
