Sydney, AU. (Top40 Charts/ QVC) - From the Beatles to Dr. Dre, Elvis Costello to Aretha Franklin, legendary composer Burt Bacharach has written songs for many of the biggest names in music, including 50 Top 40 hits in the US, nine of which went to No 1 on the Billboard Charts. Now, the legendary songwriter is scheduled to debut his first live album in nearly 30 years, featuring 32 of the world's favorite songs spanning decades, plus bonus music, on QVC on October 7 at 10 PM (ET).

During the QVC Presents Burt Bacharach QSessions Live broadcast, the Grammy and Academy Award winner will perform a selection of songs from Burt Bacharach Live at the Sydney Opera House while giving viewers an inside look at the making of the album. Fans will also have the opportunity to purchase the CD with a specially packaged bonus disc, which was created especially for QVC, nearly three weeks before street date.

"It is an honor to have such an iconic artist and songwriter on QVC," said Rich Yoegel, director of merchandising for QVC. "To be able to offer our customers this exciting new release with a special bonus CD is a great privilege."

Recorded at the world-famous Sydney Opera House with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Burt Bacharach Live at the Sydney Opera House album includes many of Bacharach's best known recordings, including "What the World Needs Now Is Love," "That's What Friends Are For," and "Raindrops Keep Fallin' On My Head," performed with his band and singers and directed by the maestro himself.

"As my first live album since Woman, which I released in 1979, it seems fitting for me to debut my latest CD live on QVC," said Bacharach. "I am excited to be able to perform these songs for QVC's viewers and really get to the heart of what these songs mean to me and what they have come to mean for my fans. It's going to be a really fun show, and I hope viewers will interact the way my live audiences around the world do when we perform."
