LOS ANGELES (Fox Pan American Sports) - Diego Torres, the multifaceted artist from Argentina, is one of four featured performers confirmed for La 2da Edicion de Premios Fox Sports being held at the Jackie Gleason Theater of the Performing Arts in Miami Beach, Florida on December 15, 2004. For the second consecutive year, Fox Pan American Sports is bringing together some of the hottest and emerging Latin musical talent along with distinguished U.S. Hispanic and Latin American sports figures for a celebration to honor achievements across a variety of sports. Joining Diego on stage this year are Pablo Montero, Belinda and Sabrina.

Diego has emerged as a leading artist in today's pop Latin movement through his fusion of Latin rhythms covering a wide range of musical styles. His first album as a solo artist "Diego Torres" was released in 1992 and earned him three Platinum records. His second album, "Tratar de Estar Mejor" burst him onto the international scene landing him several Gold and Platinum records throughout Latin America.
In 2001, his fifth album, "Un Mundo Diferente" was released and subsequently nominated for the Grammy Awards and the MTV Video Music Awards, among others. Diego's latest album, "MTV Unplugged", is enjoying great success throughout Latin America reaching Double Platinum status in Argentina. His first single off the album "Cantar Hasta Morir" is a leading hit on the charts in the U.S., Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, Chile and Uruguay confirming that Diego is one of the most popular, admired and beloved Latin artists of the decade.

"Premios Fox Sports unifies music and sports. It's an enormous honor for me to perform because I am a big sports fan," said Diego Torres regarding his upcoming appearance at the La 2da Edicion de Premios Fox Sports.

Mexican musical sensation, Pablo Montero, has also established himself as one of the leading Latin-American artists in the world with a career that spans over 10 years. This talented "charro" inherited the love of music from his parents at a very young age and parlayed this passion into a successful career generating the praise and recognition of the music industry.
Admired by fans around the world, Pablo has performed for the likes of President George W. Bush and Mexican President Vicente Fox. Pablo has transcended the gap that separates generations of music-lovers with his passionate interpretations of classical Ranchero ballads.

Belinda, the Mexican young sensation, is recognized around the music industry as one of the most important young artists in the Spanish speaking world. With over 1.2 million CD's sold, she is the youngest artist to win a Latin-American MTV Video Music Award for Best New Artist-Mexico. Her five sold out performances at the Auditorio Nacional is a testament to her rising popularity and tremendous talent.

Sabrina, the 21-year old Guatemalan rising star of GG Records, recently released her debut album "Sabrina". "She is a girl with a very different tone of voice; there is something very special in it. What's more, she definitely has all the qualities to succeed. She has tremendous energy that you can feel when she is around; she is very musical, besides she dances very well," said Rudy Perez, well known producer who perceived Sabrina's talent and decided to sponsor her by producing her first album.
Along with Rudy Perez, the album reads as the Who's Who of the music industry with some of the best musicians and acclaimed producers such as Roberto Livi and Adrian Posse. A tremendous amount of time and dedication went into selecting the songs for this album, which resulted in a collection of different styles of music, from pop-ballad to rap, and some hip-hop.

"We are honored to have such an extraordinary line-up of musical performers join us for the second year of Premios Fox Sports," said Raul de Quesada, Senior Vice President of Marketing for Fox Sports International. "This awards presentation celebrates not only the athletic achievements of some tremendous individuals, but also supports the community. Through our official charity, the International Kids Fund, we are proud to support their efforts in providing medical care to needy children from Latin America and the Caribbean who suffer from life-threatening illnesses."

"BMG U.S. Latin once again is honored to contribute some of the key international performers to this event. We are very proud to be closely associated with Premios Fox Sports, an event that successfully brings together both music and sports, and is sure to be a total hit with all those involved as well as for the loyal Spanish speaking audience that supports Fox Sports en Espanol and Fox Sports Latin America," said Cindy Becerra, Marketing Manager of Latin Pop for BMG U.S. Latin.

December's awards presentation honors distinguished athletes from variety of sports including soccer, baseball, boxing, basketball, motor sports, tennis and golf as well as their contributions to their communities. Last year's ceremony brought athletes like baseball players Ivan "Pudge" Rodriguez and Esteban Loaiza; soccer stars Carlos Alberto Teves, Jose Luis Chilavert, Jose Saturnino Cardozo and Carlos "El Pibe" Valderrama; race car driver Adrian Fernandez, and boxer Carlos "El Famoso" Hernandez, among others. The awards show will be televised on January 9, 2005 at 9:30 p.m. ET on Fox Sports en Espanol in the United States, and also carried on Fox Sports for Latin America and Mexico.
