Division Minuscla, One Of The Most Respected Rock Groups Of Its Genre In Mexico Returns To SXSW With 3 Official Performances
LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts/ ER:M+M) División Minúscla, one of Mexico´s pioneering and rock representative band makes its fourth comeback to SXSW (South By Southwest) in Austin, Texas. There, they will give 3 official performances during the festival´s week: Tuesday, March 11 at 1 PM, at The Mohawk (presented by Vans), Wednesday, March 12 at 11 PM, at The North Door (Kchink), and Friday, March 14 at 12 AM, at Buffalo Billiards (Ache/Filter).

After separating and staying away from the music scene for almost 3 years, a period in which they pursued their personal projects, and some of the group´s members completed their college education, División Minúscula has reunited to write new songs; this resulted in the release of their most recent album entitled "División." This record taps into a much more evolved rock that defines them and confirms their identity as one of Mexico´s most solid groups of rock music.

The first concerts after their separation were met by a surprising welcoming reaction from the audience who were anxiously waiting for the group´s return to the stage, and "División", the fourth record of their career, earned excellent reviews from the specialized press. The album´s recently released third single, "Humanos como tu," has taken over radio stations, reaching rock´s top 10 positions.

Matamoros, a city in the North of the State of Tamaulipas, is adyacent to the borderline division between the United States and Mexico. This is where the group´s name comes from. A ´minuscule division´ separates 2 great nations and cultures, and said geographic location is a big influence on the group´s music and gives them a specific identity.

División Minúscula managed to stand out ever since the release of their first record "Extrañando Casa" (2001), an album considered by some media as one of the most important ones of its genre in Mexico. However, it wasn´t until 2006 when the group stepped away from its status as a cult band with the release of their second record "Defecto Perfecto", an album which earned them a Golden Record and 4 MTV nominations which resulted in the award as Best Northern Artist (Latin America) in 2007.

División Minúscula´s third album, "Sirenas", showed a significant change, reflecting influences of a more classic rock, with country rock nuances while maintaining Division´s already proven attitude and power.

With over 600 thousand new Facebook fans and millions of hits for their YouTube videos, División Minúscula starts a new phase as one of the most respected groups of its genre as well as one of the most-awaited bands at the SXSW Festival. This is why you can´t miss this group´s live performance.
