Julieta Venegas Receives A Nomination For The Latin Grammy For "Best Contemporary Pop Vocal Album" For "Los Momentos"
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ ER:M+M) This morning, JULIETA VENEGAS, singer, musician and songwriter, received the nomination for the Latin Grammy Awards in Los Angeles in the Best Contemporary Pop Vocal Album category for her seventh album entitled "Los Momentos", which was released in March of this year. Said nomination join the 8 previous nominations Julieta has received for her last 4 records, earning her the highest recognition in the music industry. So far she has earned one Grammy and 5 Latin Grammy Awards.

This news was announced just a few days after having started her "Los Momentos" tour throughout the United States, where she has had excellent performances already. The shows continue this week in Los Angeles, Fresno, San Francisco and Las Vegas. The tour, consisting of 19 concerts, will end in McAllen, Texas, on October 26.

"Los Momentos" is JULIETA'S seventh record which has been acclaimed by the press and made its debut in digital sales in #1 position in Mexico, USA, Colombia, Venezuela and Bolivia. In Argentina the album made its debut in #2 position, and in the rest of Latin America and Spain in #3. Her first two singles "Tuve Para Dar" and "Te Vi" have been the first hits of this album produced by Yamil Rezc and Julieta Venegas herself. It features special collaborations with Ceci Bastida, Natalia Lafourcade, Anita Tijoux and Rubén Albarrán.

Julieta is one of Mexico's most renowned voices and also a very loved one globally speaking. Her European tour was very successful, with the presentation of her latest work. Her concerts took place in France, London, Germany and Spain; at the latter she gave 8 concerts. Simultaneously to her tour, Julieta is finishing writing songs for an animated movie and a children's play, both of which will make their debut in Mexico in 2014.

The Latin Grammy Awards ceremony will take place in Las Vegas on November 21.
