Nelly Furtado's new album Mi Plan debuts at No 1 on Billboard's US Latin Albums chart, debuting with the highest sales of any Latin Pop album this year. Mi Plan also leads the iTunes and Amazon Latin sales charts making it one of the genre's top digital releases in the US.
Continuing Furtado's chart-topping trend this week, the album's first single, "Manos al Aire" continues to firmly hold the No 1 position on the "Hot Latin Songs" chart for a fourth consecutive week.
On the international front, Mi Plan hit No 1 on iTunes Mexico, No 1 in Central America and debuted in the Top 5 in Germany, Colombia, Spain and Mexico, as well as top 20 on the Canadian SoundScan, making it the highest debut for a Spanish album in Canada. "Manos al Aire" is also commanding the radio charts in the these countries, as well as Italy, Chile and the rest of Latin America.
Nelly Furtado continues her extensive schedule by embarking on a European promotional tour at the end of the month.
